El Floridita is a hot spot for salsa dancing in Hollywood, but they also serve some of the most delicious authentic Cuban food in the country. They needed something that would effectively promote the nightlife, the dining, and their food catering services. The feel needed to be tropical, trendy, classy, and very easy to read and find information on.

The Solution

Using Makeview's proprietary Content Management System, our great expertise in graphic design, and knowing very well the type of clientele that El Floridita caters to was very important. A clear way to promote events and nightlife would turn out to be a key component of the site. The food menu needed to be easily accessible, along with other features such as press reviews, photo gallery, directions to the venue, and contact page. But two very crucial tools would be the "Reserve a Table" script for dining reservations (built from scratch by Makeview Design Studio) and the Catering or Event Planning form, which were a key component of not just the website, but the business of El Floridita.

The final result was a very trendy, easy to read and surf, dynamic design style, and cutting-edge website that truly resembles the quality and style you can find at El Floridita. It is so Hollywood! Users can see event information, dates, what band is playing, prices, description, and then make dining reservations to attend. The dynamic food menu is a hit with site users, who flood the pages looking through the delicacies prepared and served at El Floridita. All the other dynamic features, like the Google Maps API for on-website driving directions, catering and event planning request form, press reviews, and social networking connectivity, all serve an important purpose in making El Floridita such a big success.
