The Challenge

Stevens Steak House Restaurant has a long history of being one of the top Steak Houses to cater to a very classy and corporate clientele. This needed to reflect in the website. It needed to be simple to surf and find information, user friendly, almost plain, but very functional and with features that were designed to increase the marketability and revenue of the venue.

The Solution

Makeview conducted an assessment of what the old website for Stevens Steak House attempted to portray on the web and also spoke to the owner of the venue. It was clear that there was a gap between the vision of the ownership and what the website was doing. More dynamic features were needed. Banquets and event plannings were amount to loss of business as users did not know how to exactly communicate with the venue, other than by phone.

A plan was devised to use advance programming, but present it simply, and yet, make the website highly successful in all it tried to achieve.

The Results

A database-driven website with all the features the client needed was built. Food menus, Banquet menus, Wedding and Anniversary menus, Catering contact form, Birthday party menus, Holiday Menus, Contact form, Driving Directions, and Social Network connectivity. As desired, the design was simple, clean, and to the point. Shortly after the official launch, the dramatic results were visible with visitors flooding Stevens Steak House management with web inquiries on event planning, venue rentals, catering, etc. The food menus were a hit too, with people having the ability to plan a meal before they arrived to the location. And the venue's management...they couldn't be happier with the application of an easy-to-use Makeview Administration Panel (MAP) that allowed them to maintain all aspects of the site, without having to rely on a web master (makeview) to maintain it for them. MAP makes it easy to fully manage all site content, receive customer communications, and make updates on the fly, as desired.
